All newcomers to Canada are invited to an information session at the Newcomer Welcome Centre on Monday, September 11th, at 5:00 pm. The Newcomer Welcome Centre is collecting donations of new and gently used school supplies to distribute to newcomer families in need before school starts in September. They are happy to accept any donations in good condition ranging from assorted school supplies, to backpacks, to lunch bags, and running shoes.
