Hey Moose Jaw Community, we wanted to let you know about this Rally for Ukraine, happening on Sunday, April 10th. It is open to everyone who wants to come out and show support for the people of Ukraine. The rally will take place at Crescent Park starting at 1 pm, and the program will include a choir singing the Ukrainian National Anthem, an address from the Mayor, 5 local speakers from the Ukrainian community sharing their experiences with the war, a prayer for peace, and a performance from Tavria Ukrainian Folk Dance Ensemble. People may donate onsite at the rally by cash, cheque, or e-transfer. Donations are to be made out to the Moose Jaw Multicultural Council, however 100% of the donations collected will be forwarded to the Canadian Red Cross Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal on behalf of the people of Moose Jaw. Tax receipts may be issued to anyone donating $20 or over if they request one. Devo's Dogs Food Truck will also be onsite with his profits going to the Red Cross Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal. We deeply appreciate this opportunity to come together as a community and stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine living both overseas and locally.
