Host Program

Once a core service of MJMC during the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s, we are excited to bring back our Host Program in an exciting new way! Volunteers who engage in the Host Program will be partnered with a newcomer individual or family to foster a friendship, socialize together, and participate in various community events.

What is the Host Program?

MJMC's Host Program is an initiative developed to encourage growth, independance, and integration for newcomer individuals and families into the community of Moose Jaw. As a Host Program volunteer, you would be commiting to building a respectful friendship with newcomers as you help them feel at home in our community. Expectations for this role include:

- 1 to 2 hours of volunteer time a week.

- Submitting weekly reports to the Community Connections Coordinator that highlight activities completed, any sucess stories, and/or how newcomer family or individual seem to be enjoying their time spent.

For more information please contact Kaleigh Pousett, our Community Connections Coordinator, at 306-693-4677 or via email at community.connections@mjmcinc.ca.

If you are not already a volunteer with the MJMC, please print out and fill in our application form.
