On behalf of its board, members and staff, the Moose Jaw Multicultural Council expresses its deep sympathy and condolences to the victims of the horrific shootings at the Centre Culturel Islamique de Québec mosque and to the victims’ families and friends. MJMC also wishes to confirm its continuing support for our Muslim friends and colleagues across Canada. This country exists only because the original First Nations people welcomed and supported the first newcomers to this land, and over the centuries Canada has grown and strengthened through its continued commitment to welcoming newcomers and promoting diversity and inter-culturalism. Regardless of faith, ethnicity, race or country of origin, MJMC and Canada welcome newcomers to this great country. Together we are strong.
