Are you a newcomer to Canada who could benefit from weekly employment readiness workshops in a small-group setting? Every Wednesday from May 10th to May 31st, the Newcomer Welcome Centre is offering a series of 4 workshops with their employment coordinator, Robyn. Each session will cover a different step in the process of finding employment: the initial job search, cover letter writing, resume writing, and preparing for the interview. It is open to newcomers to Canada ages 18 years and up who are permanent residents, temporary residents with an open work permit, or became a Canadian citizen in the last 5 years. Participants must be able to attend all 4 in-person sessions, and can sign up for either the 1:30 pm or 7 pm time slot. See poster for full eligibility criteria.
