The Moose Jaw Multicultural Council would like to extend its sincerest thanks to all of our funding partners who contributed financially to our annual Newcomer Children's Summer Program.  Without all of your support the Summer Program could not have happened this year and we thank you very much for all your support.  Funding partners include: Canadian Red Cross, Community Initiatives Fund, Conexus Credit Union, Moffatt Family Fund, and Student Summer Works.

44 children were enrolled in the program this year and benficiaries of the program would also extend to the children's families as well as the community.  The children were provided the opportunity to learn English, make friends, and increase their understanding of their community, province, and country through culturally sensitive programming throughout July and August.  Some of the activities that the children were able to take part in and places they were able to visit include:  Burrowing Owl Centre, Wakamow Valley Kids Day, Moose Jaw North Fire Hall, MJ Public Library, Western Development Museum, Yara Centre, Sukanen Ship Museum, Daily crafts, reading and sporting activities, and much more.
